World of Coca‑Cola Uncaps the Summer Season with New Experiences and Exhibits
ATLANTA, May 23, 2017 – For families and friends seeking summertime fun, World of Coca‑Cola in Atlanta is bubbling with interactive moments, tasty flavors and special features for the whole group. From the moment they arrive, guests will enjoy refreshing new exhibits as well as longtime favorites found only at World of Coca‑Cola.
ICE COLD Summer Fun
The adventure begins at Pemberton Place, the greenspace located right outside World of Coca‑Cola. Mark your calendars for July 15 and 16, as the “Share an ICE COLD Coke” experience will offer guests the chance to customize Coca‑Cola and Coca‑Cola Zero mini cans with their first and last names – then pop open and enjoy them under cool misting fans. Visitors can also snap one-of-a-kind photos as they interact with the Bubble-izer, innovative technology that transforms individuals into effervescent fizzing forms.
Three Must-See Exhibits
Inside World of Coca‑Cola, a new Pop Culture Gallery exhibit entitled “10 Artists, 10 Bottles” commemorates the 10th anniversary of World of Coca‑Cola at Pemberton Place. To add local flavor, World of Coca‑Cola invited 10 Atlanta artists – including Kyle Brooks, Kathleen Plate, Dirk Hays, Lee Laney and others – to express their own unique personalities and visions on four-foot sculpted Coke bottles – their blank canvases for the project. The collection of larger-than-life bottle art incorporates a range of styles and mediums, from contemporary painting, recycled glass bottles and more. The exhibit was unveiled to guests May 19.
Celebrating Atlanta’s social-savvy creatives, the #ShareaCokeWithATL gallery has made a splash with guests of all ages – so much so that World of Coca‑Cola has extended the temporary gallery through November 2017. Featuring the work of 12 local Instagram artists, the #ShareaCokewithATL gallery celebrates the rich history of Atlanta and Coca‑Cola with images that pair popular Atlanta landmarks with Coke’s iconic glass bottle.
As Major League Soccer team Atlanta United celebrates its inaugural season, World of Coca‑Cola will honor the team and Coca‑Cola’s longstanding support of soccer worldwide with the new “Coke and Soccer” exhibit in the Hub. With more than 20 countries represented, sports fans from across the globe will have a ball learning about Coca‑Cola’s connection to the most popular sport on Earth.
Limited-Edition Tastings from Around the World
After guests explore the many experiences World of Coca‑Cola has to offer, a world of taste awaits in the Taste It! beverage lounge, where more than 100 different beverages from around the globe are available to sample and savor. For an energizing boost, guests can try new Honest Sport, an organic sports drink launching nationwide this summer. Those with more adventurous taste buds will enjoy Frestea Green Honey, an Indonesian green tea beverage with a signature floral flavor, and Country Club Merengue, a sparkling sweet treat with a creamy tropical fruit taste from the Dominican Republic. All three drinks will be available in Taste It! for a limited time this summer.
Summer Pass & Other Sweet Savings
In celebration of 10 years at Pemberton Place, World of Coca‑Cola will offer a limited-time Summer Pass. The pass gives guests unlimited chances to spend the summer chilling with the Coca‑Cola Polar Bear for just $25 – less than the price of two general admission tickets. Valid May 26 through Aug. 31, Summer Pass is perfect for fans who want to check out the latest exhibits now, then return with family and friends later this summer. Throughout the season, World of
